What to wear to a wedding. During the week you may follow a dress code or wear a uniform and when it comes to the weekend you’re ready to have a little fun with your outfits and cut the tags off those online purchases, but don’t squeeze into your new skinny jeans just yet. If you’re attending a wedding jeans are the last thing you should be thinking about wearing. Weddings are beautiful and romantic and your outfit should be as well. Weather it’s an outdoor wedding during the day or under twinkling lights at sunset, there are a few Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to dressing for a wedding.
Mid-length Cocktail Dress. Nothing too sexy, you don’t need a wardrobe malfunction while on the dance floor.
Skirts, dresses, maxis, long or short. A floral dress would be great for a spring/summer wedding.
Choose heels, wedges or kitten heels in place of flats.
Consider the material. Jersey or cotton is a little too casual for a wedding, instead opt for silk or sheer materials for a more formal look.
It may be tempting to wear a black dress, but this is a wedding not a funeral. Add a fun pop of color!
Showing too much skin. There’s nothing classy about an outfit that screams “look at me” you’ll be the talk of the wedding and not in a good way.
Jeans, T-Shirt, Flip-flops. Just don’t.
White dress. I think you know why.
Your man in a tux. Don’t upstage the bride and groom. It’s their day!
What is your go to wedding look?
