Festival season is upon us and first up is COACHELLA! I’m excited not only for the festival and finding new bands to listen to but for the fashion, duh! If you’ve known me over these past few blogging years or if you’re just finding me for the first time, I spend a lot of time in Palm Springs with my fiancé Rick visiting family and just to get away for the weekend. Love how close we are from San Diego.
We actually drove out to Palm Springs last weekend and on the way I saw the Desert Hills Premium Outletsand made Rick pull over and drop me off while I shopped for 3 hours. Haha if that’s not love I don’t know what is! Thanks babe! My goal was to find Coachella inspired looks I could share with you that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Don’t get me wrong, I like high end items just as much but being able to find quality items on a budget is a fun challenge! I got to the outlets right when they opened and it was like I had the place to myself for a good 20 minutes before it started to fill up, if you follow me on Snapchat (@vanessaballi) you got a behind the scene look at all of the amazing stores and the items I found!
My first stop was to Saks Fifth Ave Off 5th and I happened to find this stunning crochet Free People dress for $50. If you know about Free People you know $50 for a dress is unheard of. I took a few snaps in the dressing room then straight into my cart! I also found this gorgeous Deux Lux fringe bag on sale and started picturing this outfit really coming together. I went to check out and the cashier wanted to know where I got that dress because she needed to have it too!
After cruising through Kate Spade, BCBG, DVF, Joie, La Perla (mind you these are all discounted outlet pricing!!) I stopped by Aldo after seeing these killer lace up flats that I knew would be the perfect match to my Coachella dress!! The sales staff there were so friendly, thanks for helping me lace up those sandals! LOL I hit up a few more stores on my way back to the car and found another outfit, I’ll be sharing that look with you on Thursday!
If you plan on heading to Coachella this year I highly recommend stopping by the Desert Hills Premium Outlets on your way, you will not be disappointed with the selection of stores and you can pick up some last minute outfits, because let’s be honest you can never have too many outfit choices or changes during a festival! I was just checking out there site and it looks like they are having a special shopping event April 14-May 2 called Festivals of Shopping and it looks like the first two weekends of Coachella and Stagecoach would get some major discounts…Rick, we might be making another stop on Thursday, just sayin’!!
