Coachella, ella, ella, eh eh…..it’s like a right of passage to go to Coachella at least once in your life! Have you been? It’s a crazy good time!! Since I was consumed with all things wedding the past year or so I almost forgot about Coachella, and I’ve been going for a few years now! I’ve actually been thinking about skipping this year, yes I realize it’s tomorrow and also next weekend but I’m leaving my options open! LOL Also, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show you this fun dress/romper I picked up at Nordstrom that is a great outfit for Coachella. The color alone is perfection, but it’s also great for the desert because it can get crazy hot. The material is light and airy, plus it has this gorgeous slit and low cut top. If you have bigger tatas I’d recommend a larger necklace to cover up some of the cleavage action, or use your hair like I did! LOL
This dress is killer on its own but once you add the accessories that’s when it really becomes Coachella/Festival appropriate. Fringe, yes! Lace up sandals, check! Oversized and stackable jewelery, you betcha! A couple more things you can add without looking like you’re wearing every trend at once is a hat and sunnies, and trust me, you’ll need them out in the desert heat.
A few tips I can share for any Coachella newbies out there: 1) Listen to a Coachella playlist on your way out to the desert. Don’t get stuck on all the headliners, yes they are great (obvi), but you’ll be surprised by all the other artists you’ve never heard of that slay the smaller stages and tents. 2) Bring a backpack (or have your hubby carry one, I may have done that in the past haha), you’ll want to keep a refillable water bottle, Chapstick, sunscreen, phone charger, and snacks on hand. You’re there ALL day and it’s unlikely you’re going to want to walk ALL the way back to the shuttle or Uber to get back to your rental. 3) Unless you’re camping right on the grounds, you’ll want to wear the most comfortable shoes of your life. There’s a lot of walking, repeat, there is a LOT of walking. Not just around the festival, but to get into the festival. You’ve been warned! LOL There are pedicabs which come in handy at the end of the night…and worth every penny at 1:00 a.m.! Other than that, just have fun and take lots of photos!!! It will be a fun memory for years to come!
