Hello and happy Monday (if there is such a thing!) I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! Rick and I relaxed on Friday night, which was a welcome change for us, Saturday I was in Santa Monica for my girlfriend Nelya’s Bridal Shower. We spent the day at Shutters on the Beach, sipping bellini’s, showering her with gifts and having a fabulous girls day, with gorgeous weather. Being a married woman, it will officially be 1 month tomorrow, it’s so nice to see my other friends marrying their best friends and being spoiled. Neyla was so cute, she kept saying “I don’t know what I did to deserve this, I’m just getting married, it’s not like it’s my birthday.” LOL I reminded her that she would only do this once and that she needed to take in every moment! I just love LOVE and seeing others in love, it makes me so happy!! 🙂
Easter Sunday Rick and I drove out to the Red Bull Air Races on the harbor. The last time they were in San Diego was 2009 so when we caught their schedule and it had San Diego on the list we were thrilled! We found a great spot, sat in the sun and watched the planes like eager kids. LOL We then headed over to my mom’s house to meet the family for Easter festivities. My job was the “Easter Bunny” so I got to hide all the eggs. We have a good mix of ages in the family so I tossed the eggs on the grass for the 3 year olds and hid the eggs so hard for the older kids even I couldn’t remember where I put them all. LOL
As you may know by now from my past posts, I’m a huge fan of dresses, especially maxi’s. I just love the way they fit, they are easy to toss on and no fuss when you’re in a hurry, one could say I’m obsessed… So when I happened to see this Aurora dress from Cabi I had to have it, but not only because the dress itself is gorgeous but because it’s named after my grandma, Aurora! How cute is that! The name alone was enough for me to “add to cart” although the colors and neckline helped seal the deal!
I hope you enjoyed today’s OOTD, don’t forget to check back on Thursday for an all new outfit post!
Have a wonderful day! xo Vanessa
