Well….it’s official! We are having a GIRL!!!! Ahhhh OMG a little mini!! Rick and I are beyond excited to share this happy news with you! We were trying to think of a fun way to reveal the news and I thought about our wedding day, we had a pink smoke cloud in some of our photos, so I thought wouldn’t it be cute to have another smoke cloud (pink or blue) in our reveal photos? And wouldn’t you know it happened to be the same color!! I can’t wait to hang those photos next to each other in the nursery! )
I would have been happy with a boy or a girl, and we do plan on having more kids so you never know what could be next! However, this little baby girl is extra special to me. Once we found out we were having a girl, we knew right away what her name would be. Josephine, my grandmother’s name. My grandma Josie was the most wonderful, thoughtful, caring, loving woman. She loved to dance, sing, loved her kids (5), grandkids (too many to count! haha), and brothers and sisters (12), family was everything to her and and I admired that. She took her final breath in 2012 as my sister and I comforted her and let her know everything would be OK. It was a very sad day but I know she is with us everyday and looking down on the family she created!
So, when it came time to name our little daughter, Josephine was without a doubt the perfect name. I can’t wait to share more baby news, outfits, nursery, baby shower, all things fun and baby with you in the next couple of months! I am officially 1/2 way through my pregnancy (how crazy fast was that?) so there is lots to do! LOL Any momma’s out there have tips, advice, or stories you want to share, I’d love to hear!
Josie and I will both be Gemini’s so I thought this necklace from KITSCH was fitting! I also layered a few others from their collection!
P.S. If you missed the announcement this morning on my husbands radio show (Morton in the Morning) you can listen to it here…just FYI have tissue nearby!!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful time with me!! I appreciate you so much! xo Vanessa
