Oh my goodness, 37 weeks has just flow by which means just 3 more weeks (if Baby Josie comes on time) until our little love enters the world! Ahhh we could not be more excited!! There’ still lots to do, like assemble the crib for instance, although everyone keeps telling me she won’t use it for months, haha. I’m just one of those people who wants everything to be done and put away before the baby is here, because I plan on soaking up every second with that little love bug! Putting together a nursery will be the last thing on my mind. LOLHowever, before we finish up her room and await the arrival of Josie, Rick and I decided to head out to our favorite destination vacation spot, Palm Springs, for a little Babymoon getaway. We know our lives are going to change big time, for the better of course, so we wanted to get one final weekend of just “us” in. Since Palm Springs is our home away from home, it’s close enough to San Diego yet far enough away to feel like we are somewhere else completely, we knew that’s exactly where we’d spend out Babymoon. Our plan was simple, lay by the pool, eat too much food, sleep, and enjoy each others company and that’s exactly what we did! What’s the saying, “get sleep now, cause once the baby gets here you won’t sleep!” LOL we managed to get lots of rest in and feel refreshed! When it comes time to packing outfits, especially being pregnant, I wanted to find something that was comfortable and light for the hot weather I knew we’d be having. So I went online to Macy’s and was searching through their maternity line and found the perfect outfit. I definitely wanted a pair of white jeans and happened to find a pair from A Pea in the Pod and they are extremely comfortable, they remind me of my pre-maternity jeans, except they have a waistband that goes over your belly for support. Thank goodness, cause this babe is getting big!! I also really loved that they hit at the ankle and had distressed details. I also wanted a light and breezy top and found this Gingham Cold Shoulder top by Motherhood Maternity, which I also plan on using during nursing. It’s such a gorgeous print in a pretty light blue color that’s perfect for spring and summer! I couldn’t “check out” without a new pair of shoes, because shoes are a must, if you ask me and Jessica Simpson makes some of my favorite shoes because they are comfortable and affordable. I added these Karlee Thong Sandals in “Gilded Gold” to finish off my Babymoon destination maternity look. This was the perfect outfit for our visit of Moorten Botanical Garden. We wandered through the garden where we got married and reminisced on the past year, and also what the future will be like with Josie. Like how we’ll bring her out to the desert and the garden and show her where her dad grew up! Being parents is such an exciting time for us that we just can’t wait to start this next chapter of our lives together.
