The holidays are the best time to dress up, especially New Year’s Eve! When you think of New Year’s Eve does sequins come to mind? haha I’m sure it does for a lot of people but in order to be different and not look like a disco ball I’ve put together a look that is sophisticated yes still stands out in a crowd! Red and pink are two of my favorite colors and when combined they make the perfect duo. When I first saw the Tribute Dress from Cabi I knew it would be the perfect dress for NYE and then I saw the Contessa Coat, oh it was on!! I styled the duo with the Black Pearl Heritage Necklace, Heritage Pearl Earrings, Heritage Pearl Necklace, a black belt and a pair of Christian Louboutins.
When it comes time to celebrate the New Year in San Diego my husband and I love to attend Big Night San Diego. (If you would like to join us you can use the promo code Vanessa for $10 off). It’s a huge all inclusive indoor party at the Hilton Bayfront. No waiting in line to pay for drinks or food. You leave your wallet in your hotel room and enjoy the night going from room to room to enjoy DJ’s, a silent disco, the retro zone and a number of other rooms with all different types of music. The best part is the huge champagne countdown to the new year!
If you love being near the water another popular NYE spot in San Diego is the New Years Eve Yacht Party. It is a night of fun on a yacht cruising through the harbor, with a full open bar, tray passed appetizers, party favors, DJ’s and dance floors!
If you’re more low key a nice dinner out and a comedy show with your signifiant other or best friends would be perfect in this outfit. A few of my favorite spots for dinner are: Lionfish, Born & Raised, Cloak & Petal, Kettner Exchange, or Juniper and Ivy.
